Youth Group is an informal hang out space for young people aged 10-16 to hang out with friends after school; to play music, experiment with instruments, do arts & crafts, play video games – with the occasional lightsaber battle! Youth group is also a place for the Columnist Crew to meet, who are a team of young people who use their interest in journalism to help Youth Development Worker, Bex write the monthly newsletter ‘The DD8 Digest’

Youth group runs every Friday from the Guide Hall 2pm-4pm and is delivered by Bex & Luke and DD8 volunteers.

“DD8 Music has not only developed myself as a person socially, but the organisation has offered a wide range of youth activities to get involved in which has benefitted my well-being overall.”
“My favourite things about the face-to-face sessions are the social and jamming aspects; I enjoy the often random and comedic conversations in the company of every youth member and worker. Jamming is a way of expressing myself musically and I certainly enjoy being around everyone there.”
